The new Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG has a 6.0-litre V12 "biturbo" (twin-turbocharged) engine which develops a maximum output of 463 kW (630 hp) and maximum torque of 1000 newton metres. The result: outstanding performance, thrilling power delivery and effortlessly excellent dynamics.
The maximum speed is 155 mph (electronically limited). Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph takes 4 seconds with the 200 km/h mark achieved after just 11.8 seconds. The new Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG will be on the market starting September 2012.

The AMG twelve-cylinder biturbo engine dazzles with its sleek running characteristics and its unique AMG V12 sound.
The AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G‑TRONIC seven-speed automatic transmission with its wide gear ratio range permits a significantly lower engine speed and serves to diminish fuel consumption. A new fuel saving torque converter, bearings created for reduced friction loss and the transmission-oil thermal management system are bound for a further improvement in the efficiency of the power transmission system.
For your money we receive a lot of carbon fiber. On the hood, on the wings, on the trunk, on the engine, the carbon fiber being the main component of the new rigid roof that replaces the old retractable one.
